Each approach now includes a new Research section summarising the research findings, an in-depth Case Study illustrating how that approach works in practice, and an extended Practice section. Also covered:

A good book for my Introduction for all my Counselling groups.
An indispensable text book for students of Guidance and Counselling.
More in depth on fewer topics than the other handbook you have available, which is more suitable for my cohort
Not all students are willing to read around the topic of integrative therapy or research across other modalities, but for those who are interested I point them in the direction of this book.
For many of our students who are new to the study of therapeutic models, this book will be of great value. Well written and highly informative, even for more experienced practitioners.
An excellent book with relevance to those embarking on their initial counselling training as well as those studying at a more advanced academic level, as it offers clear introductory information about a range of therapies.
A wonderful comprehensive guide to all lecturers teaching on an Honours Degree Programme in Counselling and Psychotherapy. A little heavy laden for students, but well equipped to aid the lecturer with detailed and up to date information and research on the subject.
Gives a clear, cogent overview of a range of therapies offered today, and I feel that this book could be suitable for pre and post registration students alike. I will be adopting it as recommended reading within a Psychological interventions module as part of the Mental Health Nursing Undergraduate programme, as well as a forthcoming CPD module, commencing later this year.
This is an excellent book having material relevant to several modules on the BSc. Psychology Programme and also the FdSc. Mental Health Practice modules covering therapeutic interventions.
Highly recommended.
An excellent resource for doctoral trainees.
