Marco Santoro is a professor of sociology at the Department of the Arts at the University of Bologna, Italy. He is a founding editor of the online journal Sociologica—International Journal for Sociological Debate and a member of the editorial board of the journal Cultural Sociology. He works on the history and sociology of the human and the social sciences, on the sociology of cultural production and consumption, and on mafias. Recently, he has edited The Anthem Companion to Everett Hughes (London 2016, with R. Helmes-Hayes) and Ideas on the Move. The International Circulation of Authors and Paradigms in the Social and Human Sciences (with G. Sapiro and P. Beart, Basingstoke Palgrave, forthcoming.)
