Heidi H. Ewen is an associate professor of health and aging studies in the College of Health Sciences at the University of Indianapolis. Over the past 20 years, she has conducted research on older adults’ housing and relocation planning, aging in place, and senior housing management. Dr. Ewen teaches classes in housing aging populations, healthcare administration, research methods, and demography. She has published her research in top scientific journals on housing, nursing, and gerontology in addition to several book chapters. Her scholarly and curricular interests include relocation decision-making and adaptation, stress perception and reactivity, use of home and community-based services, and senior housing. She holds a doctorate in gerontology with a minor in applied statistics from the University of Kentucky, a master’s in experimental psychology from the University of Tennessee, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Eastern Illinois University.
